Sound and Scent - Ritual Performance, 2020
speakers, cloth, foam, metal, dried twigs, herbs, stone, tea, etc

This piece is a study of sound sculpure, collective rituality, and sensory embodiment. Participants sat in a circle, a piece of cloth containing intrusive objects and overpowering scents is tied around each person’s face. As the sound plays at the center of the circle in high volume, the obstruction of sight brings about new waves of insight for some, and fearful instability for others.
